Bulgogi Korean BBQ

Ingredients:

Marinade (for 1 pound of beef):
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ tablespoon wine (or any alcoholic drink for cooking)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup onion purée
  • ½ cup apple purée (optional)
  • ½ cup pear purée (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
Bulgogi:
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced beef
  • 1/2 of medium-sized onion, thinly sliced
  • 5–6 mushrooms of your choice
  • 1–2 green onions, thinly sliced

Preparation:

Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add the sliced beef and mix well; let marinate for at least 2 hours to overnight. You can grill, pan-fry or barbecue right after marinating.
